There were 9 goals in the three games played this weekend, with 8 of those coming in the high scoring win for Raiders over Saigon FC at Hoang Hoa Tham. Gaulois edged out Gemadept 1-0 as Japan and OS played out a goalless draw.

Japan needed to win against OS in order to keep alive their title hopes, but OS played a stifling game of football to keep out their nearest challengers. OS picked up 5 yellow cards in this game, including one for Alain Ndzana which rules him out of Sunday's clash with Raiders.

Raiders faced Saigon FC in an evening kick off and it was an eventful game of football to say the least. A scoreless first 20 minutes was followed by 6 goals in the remainder of the first half, as Saigon FC grabbed a lead through Khoa DANG DANG, slotting home a rebound from an impossible angle. Two speculative efforts from SCHAUFLER handed Raiders a short lived lead, before Saigon FC restored their one goal advantage after goals from Vinh HOANG THANH and Lien BUI XUAN. SCHAUFLER fired the ball into the top corner from just inside the box to restore parity at the break.

Raiders changed their plan of attack at half time, and Saigon FC became frustrated at the lack of opportunities that became available to them in the second period. A great ball from Ocon De Maria found BENNIT with a through ball to chase which he drilled into the bottom corner early into the half. With the last kick of the game, Ocon De Maria was again the architect, playing a neat one two with SCHAUFLER, before squaring the ball back to the German who was on hand to smash home his 4th of the game, and seal the points for Raiders.

A solitary strike from man of the match Antoine LEPORC was enough to secure a vital win for Les Gaulois over fellow strugglers Gemadept. Les Gaulois leapfrogged Gemadept with this result, leaving both teams seperated by only one goal on 7 points.

Les Gaulois face Saints on Saturday, while fellow strugglers Hiep Phu and Gemadept square off on Sunday. Japan play Saigon FC, while Raiders take on OS at Thanh Thai.
