About the SIFL

Founded in 2000 as four local expat teams and one Vietnamese side decided to compete on a more formal basis. Saigon Japan FC, Saigon Saints FC, Saigon Raiders FC and Saigon Olympique have participated in every league season since.
While Les gaulois de Saigon joined in 2007, other teams recently welcomed into the SIFL are Gemadept, Saigon FC and Hiep Phu (local Vietnamese teams)

The league is 100% amateur and the only one of it’s kind in HCMC. Starting in October and finishing in march, the league teams also compete for the ‘Saigon International Cup’ in March.

In 2007, the SIFL formed a committee consisting of the four teams who have partaken since its origins - Raiders, Saints, Olympique and Japan FC.

For the season 2009-2010, the committee gather:
