Olympique Saigon 2007/2008 Champions

French team Olympique Saigon have been crowned 2007/2008 SIFL league champions with a game to spare. They defeated the only team left contending the title, Saigon Saints, by 1-0. It was a tight affair played out in the afternoon sun in front of a record league crowd. In the end, a free kick from Fred was enough to get the points and the title. Saints will have to be satisfied with the runners up spot for a second year in a row, whilst OS celebrate their third championship and their first since 2003.

OS followed up by winning their remaining game against Japan FC 3-1, leaving them 5 points clear.
